All very good players. But it was Juan Carlos Valerón Santana who stood out. A proper player. The Deportivo la Coruna’s midfielder was once described as ‘Spain's Zidane, only better’ and on Saturday showed glimpses of his outstanding touch, passing ability and vision. His goal was a pearl.
