After the Wire No.6 - Wood Harris

In the Wire, Wood Harris was Avon Barksdale, the drug baron who ruthlessly ruled West Baltimore. Since leaving the programme, Wood Harris has been the lead in 'Sweetwater',  a chronicle of the life of the first black player signed by the NBA. The film is out next year.

  2. Thanks for the information. Southland hasn't yet been screened in the UK but the reviews on IMDB seem very good. Who does Wood Harris play?

  3. He plays--get this--a drug kingpin. His part starts in the second season, of which only two episodes have aired here as yet.

    As my wife said as soon as he showed up on screen--I think he gets typecast now.
