The Daily Mail reports that York University is running a module analysing The Wire. Unlike the response of the Social Affairs Correspondent, I think this is a great idea. I am sure policymakers can do a lot worse than to learn from the series. How do I apply? Roger Burrows, the Professor of Sociology at York, is running the course and is also currently working on a project examining the series as social science fiction. Pugh's cartoon is very good.
